This is the course for you if you would love to develop your passion for flowers into something more. Maybe you love flowers and would like to learn new skills to enjoy them even more. Or you dream about having a career as a florist?

The Introduction to Floristry course is perfect if you are a beginner with no experience with flowers or someone who wants to develop their existing skills. The course will run over 5 sessions and will give you a hands-on introduction into the world of floristry.

Every session will include a demonstration before you get to make a different design each week. We’ll use seasonal flowers and you will take home absolutely everything you create. We will also cover the Principles & Elements of Design over the 5 weeks.

You will leave with knowledge, practical experience and plenty of confidence. How exciting!

Suitable for Beginners and you’ll get to meet other creative people just like you. With a maximum of 6 people there will be plenty of personal tuition.

Each session will be approx 2.5 hours and the price includes all materials, course notes, equipment, tea, coffee & cake.

Also includes a complimentary pair of floristry scissors.

The floral designs you will make include large hand tied bouquet with gift wrapping, a posy bowl, a linear and parallel design, a modern contemporary arrangement along with learning wiring techniques.

We will cover the care & conditioning of flowers and plant materials, the uses of different flowers & foliage, the Principles & Elements of Design, equipment & sundries you will need, pricing, buying & ordering flowers, sustainability, conducting consultations and you can ask as many questions as you like!

There will also be time to take photographs of your work to start to build your portfolio. You will also receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
