Transforming Your Wedding Venue With Flowers

Choosing a venue for your wedding is an important decision. You want to select the right place so that you can create magical memories with your guests. However, many brides overlook how flowers can transform their wedding location into something even more spectacular. In this article, we will discuss ways to use floral design in combination with other elements of decoration to make your day unforgettable!

Centrepieces

Floral centrepieces can be very effective in transforming your venue into a wedding paradise. Each table can be themed to match your style and theme.

Keep in mind the height of your centrepiece - will it prevent conversation between your guests or block their view of the speeches?

Choose a style that you can give away at the end of the evening, your guests will love that they can take a little bit of your wedding away with them!

Pew ends and aisles

One of the questions I am often asked at bridal shows is how to transform a certain area into an aisle for a ceremony. This question has become more popular as couples select venues that are not traditional hotels or wedding venues for their wedding reception.

Tying small bunches of your themes flowers is a simple and beautiful way to create/decorate your aisle chairs for an affordable price.

Alternatively, what about mini potted plants to create a stunning walkway that’ll have your guests impressed with your attention to detail!

Of course, after the ceremony, you can transfer your floral pew ends to vases around the venue – we love a bit of recycling!

Cake Decorations

Wedding cakes are a very important part of your wedding day. The cake is the centrepiece of the reception, and it’s where you and your partner will cut the first piece to feed each other. As such, you want to spend a lot of time choosing elements like flavour, design, and decorations for your cake.

You may also want to use fresh flowers on top of or around the cake that match your wedding colour scheme; this can make all the difference in making sure that every element at your wedding reception is cohesive and looks perfect together!

At Bloom Bloom, we are committed to helping make your wedding day as special and perfect as you've imagined. We'll work alongside your cake supplier to ensure that cake looks as amazing as it (should) taste!

Wedding Archways

Wedding archways are getting increasingly popular and provide an impressive focal point for your wedding venue. They can also create the illusion of a much larger space, which is great if you're trying to impress as many guests as possible.

They also help your wedding photographer in providing wonderful backdrops for your photos and are reminiscent of many of the Royal Weddings from recent years!

Just like flower walls, these could be moved around your wedding venue as required - helping you to get the best bang for your buck!

Welcome sign

Nothing says welcome quite like a beautifully designed welcome sign adorned with flowers, ready to compliment the aesthetic of your ceremony or reception. This often the first example of your wedding theme that will be seen, so it’s important to make it as lovely as can be.

It’s a wonderful way to set the tone for your wedding and creates a romantic first impression for you and your guests.

These signs are typically made up of fresh flowers that can be tailored to anything from antique gardening-themed bouquets to modern designs fit for an eclectic taste!

Bride & Groom Chairs

Elegant and luxurious, decorating the bride and groom’s chair will provide the perfect setting for a wonderful, romantic photo. With lush greenery and floral accents, they're sure to feel like a regal affair framing the happy couple perfectly!

The bride or groom's chair can be covered in a large flower petal garland that hangs on all sides of the chair, with fresh flowers mixed in as well. Branches can also be used to create frames around both chairs for a striking look.

Vases and Candle Ware

For a distinctive wedding ceremony, careful consideration towards your vases and candle ware will provide that attention to detail that oozes elegance.

A vase is more than just a water source for cut flowers. The right vase will help your arrangement stay in place and look even better throughout the day.

At Bloom Bloom, we have a large selection of vases to help compliment your theme.

Floating balloons filled with foliage

This really is something different and will certainly create a talking point for your wedding long after the midnight carriages!

Wonderful for couples who want something less traditional yet visually appealing! These helium-filled orbs can be decorated with greenery and will certainly add a fun element to your wedding.

Flower Walls

Certainly on-trend at the moment and can provide you with a wonderful backdrop inside or out. The perfect solution should your wedding be forced inside due to inclement weather.

They’re wonderfully versatile too - get your ushers to move your flower wall from drinks reception to wedding breakfast as required! Not only can they be used as ceremony backdrops, but they can also provide a gorgeous photo wall!

Flower walls are a great way to add luxury and elegance to your wedding. Even if you don't have the budget for an extravagant floral display, you can still use flower walls as a cost-effective alternative or complement to your current design plan.
