10 Best Questions to Ask Your Wedding Florist
The wedding day is one of the most important days in a bride's life. It is a day she will remember for the rest of her life and it needs to be perfect! Choosing the right wedding florist can be difficult, but you should ask yourself some questions before making your final decision.
Here are ten questions to ask your wedding florist complete with my answers!
How far in advance do I need to book you?
<p>Typically, my weddings are booked twelve months in advance. There are peak dates throughout the wedding season that will be higher in demand and can be booked in even earlier!</p>
<p>For me, the earlier the better - as this gives us plenty of time to talk through your ideas! With my easy booking procedure, once you’ve paid the deposit, your date is secure.</p>
<p>There are times when I have late availability due to rearranged weddings so please do contact me to check availability. If I am booked already, I have a handful of talented florists who I can recommend to you.</p>
Are you happy to meet me at my church/venue to discuss my ideas?
<p>Absolutely! I love this stage of the planning so meeting up beforehand, although not necessary, is beneficial for both of us. As I have mentioned, I love all things wedding and adore getting to know all about you and your vision.</p>
<p>Meeting up allows us to chat through all the possibilities that your venue allows and gives me the opportunity to see first-hand how we can transform the space into something spectacular!</p>
<p>If meeting at the venue isn’t an option, we can of course chat over the phone or on a Zoom!</p>
Will you show me examples of your work?
<p>Of course! I have a large gallery of past work I can share with you. Should you be looking for something that I have yet to create, let’s do it! I live and breathe floristry and my many years of experience will ensure I’ll meet any challenge!</p>
Have you worked at my venue before?
<p>I’ve worked at most venues in and around Hampshire so this certainly helps with our planning. That being said, if I haven’t been to your venue before, I’m more than happy to visit by myself or with you there.</p>
<p>It’s not essential for our booking though - I can work my floral magic at any venue!</p>
What flowers are in season for my wedding?
<p>A great question! Any good florist will be able to advise you on what is blooming around your date. Getting married in December? Let me tell you about Amaryllis or Hypericum Berries! Tying the knot in Spring? What about Peonies (oh so pretty) and Orchids?!</p>
<p>Whenever the wedding, I’ll bring to the table a wealth of knowledge that will ensure you get amazing, in-season floral arrangements!</p>
Are there particular flowers that will suit my wedding style?
<p>Part of my process involves creating a mood board that ties together your style and the beautiful florals that I think will work in harmony with your theme.</p>
<p>We’ll also take into consideration your venue, style of wedding dress, your bridesmaid dresses, and grooms attire. The details matter and I pride myself on taking the time to really get to know you and your vision.</p>
<p>Whether it’s a rustic theme, traditional, or something more unusual, we’ll present the perfect collection of flowers to intertwine all of the elements that make up an unforgettable wedding!</p>
Will you be able to provide flowers that work with my colour palette?
<p>Flowers are my love language and I’m a huge lover of colours! I get super excited when my clients talk about their palettes and how the florals can enhance their wedding day.</p>
<p>Finding the right flowers to compliment your wedding colours is a process that I really enjoy! So whether it’s Terracotta and Greenery or Light Beige and Champagne, I’ll present you with the perfect match!</p>
Can you advise me what I will need as a flower budget?
<p>Whatever your budget, I can certainly tell you what’s available and paint a picture of how that might look. Typically, my packages start from £1500 with some of the more luxurious weddings around the £3000 mark.</p>
<p>I can explain how our packages are broken down and how to get the most out of your budget.</p>
<p>I pride myself on not cutting corners whilst ensuring that your budget stretches as far as possible.</p>
What venue décor accessories do you have available?
<p>Whether you would prefer a wildly romantic look for your wedding flowers or more modern elegance, I have a variety of accessories to suit! From archways and moon gates to show-stopping centrepieces and glassware - if you can dream it we can create it! I cater for both intimate weddings AND grand affairs, so no floral endeavour is too big for us at Bloom Bloom!</p>
How will it all work on my wedding day?
<p>My main priority on your wedding day is to allow you to relax, enjoy yourself and leave the florals to me and my team! Your bouquets and buttonholes and other floral arrangements will be hand-delivered on the morning of your wedding (with plenty of time to spare), in water, so they are as fresh and as beautiful as can be! All you have to do is marvel at how gorgeous they are, dab them off with a towel and carry them down the aisle!</p>
<p>I’ll also work closely with your other suppliers - whether this is your wedding planner, cake maker, or photographer, I’ll ensure a smooth-running wedding where you can truly relax and enjoy your day.</p>
